Organizations are now putting more emphasize on corporate culture and aligning the corporate culture with business strategies. In fact, a great manager sees corporate culture as an effective way to stimulate collaboration and creativity as well as enhancing the feeling of team spirit and identification with the organization among its employees.

A great corporate culture is sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of the employees working in the culture as well as customers and stakeholders who my temporarily enter and transact business in the culture.  Effective corporate cultures incorporate many elements including corporate history, values, and style of leadership.  This culture is expressed and enriched through thoughtful design and selection of furnishings and space utilization. The physical expression of the corporate culture creates an environment that effortlessly defines and promotes the daily activities of the organization and its employees.

The following is an example of how Lamex effortlessly helps you create a corporate culture with a workplace strategy.

The owner of this project is a giant in the financial industry. The traditional office layout to the modern open workplace shown here, we utilized the Avail Series by Lamex. One small panel on each workstation encourages easy communication and interaction between people without compromising needed privacy. This open workplace provides the dual purpose of allowing individuals to focus on their own projects while encouraging opportunities to share, interact, and collaborate. The flexibility of this arrangement also provides an opportunity to take a moment to relax from the busy, daily life.

Located adjacent to the individual workspaces are a series of sofas positioned to form collaborative areas for people to interact, or rest and recharge. Presentations, small group meetings and other causal meetings can comfortably held in this area.

In this example, blue and green are provided as the main colors for the interior. This allows the entire environment to coordinate with the colors and textures of the furniture and interior components to create a sense of comfort. This creates a peaceful feeling in interior areas that incorporates the colors of the sky and glass in the surrounding buildings, but contrasts with the hectic city outside.  The result is an environment and corporate culture that employees seek out because they want to be there, not because they have to be there.  This helps to strike a balance between work and life.

A great workplace solution is not only about the right furniture. It is about properly placing the furniture and creating a setting and environment that reflects the needs of the employees and the culture of the organization.  Together this defines the corporate culture in a workplace.
