Longhouse won 2019 KAPOK Product Design Award

As the pioneer in the office furniture industry, Lamex is the first brand in the market to introduce the concept of “Neighbourhoods” and launch the first Neighourhood Community Solution – Longhouse. Given the revolutional concept and design, Longhouse has drawn great attention from the industry and media, and is honored to win the 2019 KAPOK Product Design Award.

Guangzhou Design Week is always one the biggest and leading events in the Chinese Design Industry. Unlike the past, Guangzhou Design Week was held for 4 days this year. From 5 Dec to 8 Dec, it was held in both Poly World Trade Centre and Nanfung International Convention & Exhibition Center. The total number of visitors was more than 300,000 people, which set a new record for the event. The visitors included foreign designers, architects and designer lovers.

In different halls, we would see many inspirational booth designs, exhibiting the latest trends of designs, architectures, furniture and constructional material, etc. Furthermore, we were also able to participate in different ceremonies and design events in different hall. Our Neighbourhood Community Solution – Longhouse was exhibited in the KAPOK area, letting people experience the revolutional product and design.  To exhibit the versatility and integration of Longhouse, mirror walls are set on both sides of the booth to create an unlimited visual extension of Longhouse, which also implies the setting and idea of a neighbourhood community.

The award ceremony of KAPOK award was held at the afternoon of December 5. Leading professional representatives and judges from different fields of design were invited to present the award. On behalf of Lamex, Mr. Marc Fong, Design Director of Lamex, received the KAPOK award from the judges. Congratulation to Lamex on the winning of Longhouse Kapok Design Award!
